 About Terp Float Festival

Welcome to the Terp Float Festival, Oklahoma's premier cannabis and river float festival, held on the scenic banks of the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This unique three-day event, scheduled for August 2nd and 3rd, with an early check-in and pre-party on August 1st, has rapidly grown into a landmark occasion, drawing in over 4,700 attendees in 2023 and over 6000 attendees in 2024!

The Terp Float Festival was born from a simple vision between two friends, Brent McDonald and Josh Berner. Their vision was to fuse live music, cannabis on the enchanting Illinois River at the gateway to the Ozarks.The event returns for its fifth year and has since evolved into a full-fledged festival, celebrating community, music, and the great outdoors, all infused with a spirit of freedom, joy and exotic terps. Our festival offers an immersive river float experience, starting 6 miles upstream where you will enjoy a casual float taking in the beautiful scenery , enjoying the company of friends old and new!

The team has now branched off and is producing other events and festival across Oklahoma, starting with Terps & Chains 2025 , March of 2025!
